In 2026, the wheelchair accessible garden was used in partnership with Individual Advocacy Group to provide the individuals enrolled in its program an opportunity to garden. Led by Alana Reynolds, the garden’s Education Coordinator, “Grow With the New Me” utilized garden space from May through September.
Our Wheelchair Accessible (WA) Garden was established in 2024, partnering with Kumler Outreach Ministries and United Methodist Foundation to receive a $25,000 grant from Aetna. This project was designed with significant input from two local wheelchair users, Missy Norman and Katelyn Montgomery.
Additionally we’d like to thank Sexton Landscape Concepts, which donated materials and labor to construct a brick walkway through the front entrance.
These WA beds are part of the personal plots area, and will be rented for $10/year. The rental fee includes access to tools, water, seeds, seedlings, and garden mentoring upon request. If you are a wheelchair user or are unable to use traditional raised beds due to any reason, please contact the garden manager at to be placed on a waiting list for a rental. Anyone can rent a plot, but Enos Park residents go to the top of the waiting list.
