Operation Taproot

Through a partnership with SIU’s Access to Care Initiative, Operation Taproot is designed to get Community Health Workers (CHWs) into the community, providing low-barrier access to those who need assistance. CHWs can offer a wide range of assistance for personal and health needs and become a regular and visible presence in the community through their time spent in community gardens. CHWs are at the Enos Park Neighborhood Gardens on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 9-11 a.m., May through September.
